LUCIBEMP (bempedoic acid) is a lipid-lowering medicinal product used to reduce levels of low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), commonly referred to as “bad” cholesterol, in the blood.
Bempedoic acid works primarily in the liver by inhibiting an enzyme involved in cholesterol production, thereby reducing LDL-C levels. LUCIBEMP may be used as part of a comprehensive treatment approach for patients with elevated cholesterol and an increased risk of cardiovascular disease.
