Olanib 150 contains olaparib 150 mg and is manufactured by Everest Pharmaceuticals in Bangladesh. It is an oral targeted cancer medicine belonging to the PARP inhibitor class.
Olaparib works by blocking PARP proteins involved in DNA repair. This can make it difficult for certain cancer cells—especially those with BRCA or other DNA-repair abnormalities—to survive. It is used for selected patients with ovarian, breast, pancreatic, and prostate cancers, depending on the cancer type and genetic/biomarker results.
Important: Olanib 150 should be taken only under an oncologist's prescription. The 150 mg tablet is not necessarily the dose every patient should take; the usual tablet regimen for many indications is 300 mg twice daily, but the correct dose depends on the patient and cancer.
